The new SWA rules really streamline a lot of the process and I don't think I'd be considering creating this game if it weren't for the new edition. Savage Worlds has a lot of great roleplaying and wargame elements including tactical combat, but also free form creature, and character creation. Rule system modified Savage Worlds Adventure. I am going to call it a "campaign" because at this point I don't know what else to call it, as it will inevitably be some weird amalgamation of roleplaying game, wargame, and map level board game a la Risk, Axis and Allies, or Diplomacy, and 4x (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) strategy video games. I'll outline some points, and goals I wish for both the crunch and fluff of the campaign.

My desire with this thread is to use it as a dumping ground for ideas and discussion, to outline my discovery process in which I create a tabletop gaming experience.

I know one spawned the other, that's mostly beside the point. Long has been my dream game to combine/recombine wargames and roleplaying games.
